Facts & Figures is a pocket-size brochure containing data about Penn Medicine, including information about new facilities and statistics about its economic impact, our workforce, and the student community. The most impactful part of this project was capturing major accomplishments that had both local and global impacts. We celebrated the opening of the Pavilion — our new hospital that opened in October 2021. The hospital took years of comprehensive configuration for training and construction and transformed how our staff can deliver care with state-of-the-art technology. In the brochure, we also featured the development and distribution of COVID-19 vaccines, highlighting the mRNA technology that serves as the foundation of the Pfizer/BioNTech and Moderna vaccines — pioneered by two Penn researchers. The mRNA-based vaccines were administered not only at a local level at community vaccination clinics but also around the world.
